Erik John Lawrence, pianist

Erik is an informed and sensitive pianist with collaborative experience in chamber music, vocal, and orchestral genres. He currently works and studies in the Kansas City area. Contact Erik for rates and queries via email, listed below.

Erik has given performances at the Canadian Opera Company’s Virtuoso Pianist Afternoon Concert Series, at the International Holland Music Sessions in Bergen, Netherlands, and was asked to play Rachmaninoff’s Third Piano Concerto with the Lake Charles Symphony in 2013. He is currently employed part-time as a collaborative pianist at UMKC where he is pursuing a Master’s Degree in piano performance with Dr. Robert Weirich. Before that, he received an Artist’s Diploma from the Glenn Gould School in Toronto, Ontario with pianist John O’Conor, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Rice University under Dr. Robert Roux in his hometown of Houston, Texas. He performs with the Topeka Symphony Orchestra as orchestral keyboardist.

Erik’s rate for collaborations is $30 minimum per session. For rehearsals, lessons, or performances of 30 minutes or more, the rate is $1 per minute: $30 for 30 minutes, $60 for 60 minutes, etc. Please contact by email (preferred) at least four weeks in advance of the performance or session for proposals.  Résumé can also be provided by email, if requested.
